Questionnaire

2. What’s your major? What year will you graduate? 

My Major is Art Therapy...and I honestly do not know when I will graduate, but I am aiming for my Masters Degree

3. Why did you choose a photography class (or photography as a major), and what do you hope to learn from school in general and this class specifically? 

Although this class was required, I am looking forward to this semester, I love numerous forms of art and believe that photography is one other method people express themselves.

4. What are your goals after graduation? Please list your goals in reverse order, starting five years out, then three, two, one, and six months.

Five years after I graduate my goal is have a secured job at a cancer ward of a hospital and be working on building and running my own therapy center, which would be ten years after I graduate as well as have two kids, and have around half of my student loans paid off. Three years after I graduate I am hoping to have my head on my shoulders and have my own house as well as one kid. Two years after I graduate my goal is to be married and have an internship at a hospital. One year after I graduate my goal is to continue my internship and have many more contacts in my address book. Six months from the time I graduate, my goal is to obtain an internship at a hospital and become even more educated in my work field. 

5. What artists, musicians, photographers, writers, movies, books have influenced you/your work?
The author Lynn Kurland and her numerous medieval books have influenced my artwork in the castle sense. 
6. Where do you get information about current national and international events?

Yahoo News and AOL News as well as different new channels. 

7. Are there any important websites that you are referencing for art/photo competitions and/or information?

Well, I like to browse through Deviantart and see what other people are drawing, taking pictures of etc. 

8. What museums and/or galleries have you been to in the past year?

The art gallery here at the Art Building, and an art gallery in Dallas. 

9. Have you had any photo projects and/ or training in the past?

Nope, except for personal pictures. 

10. What is the value of art for the artist?

Art is a battle. Once the artist has poured their heart, soul, and time into their work and has captured in a viewable medium the image that haunts their mind, then the battle is won. 

11. What is the value of art for the audience?
Art has numerous values...it can be a brief trip into another dimension, a lesson, an eye opener, it can tell a story, can explain a stance. 

12. Is photography a vocation or an avocation?

vocation. Definitely.

13. What is your passion?

Art. Helping people. Bettering the Planet. Eco-living. 

14.What are you afraid of? What makes you uncomfortable?

Spiders, small places, heights, broken hearts. 
15. Do you have a passport?
