Gas Prices Sky Rocketing
Well I am sure we are all feeling the pain at the pump as our cars guzzel away the gas that has suddenly sky rocketed in price. From $2 something one day to way over $3 the next...its baffeling but expected what with the nature of war and all. So in answer to some of this problem, myself and my boyfriend invested in bikes tonight. Now instead of riding all over town in our cars, if we need to go somewhere we can simply hop on our bikes and get to our destination as well as burn a few calories in the process, so its good for our wallets and good for our health. Living in a small town and then moving to a small town to go to college, it will work both places, so when I go home over the breaks I will still be able to cruise around on the pedel pusher ;). Another plan is taking the bike into McKinney and cruising around as I do my shopping on the square...good thing we got that bike rack! ha. Anyway, I know that it is a chunk of money to initally buy...but it is good for you in the long run. Not only will it save you on gas money, it will make each tank of gas last longer, and allow you to put fewer pollutants into the air since riding a bike is eco friendly. Just be sure to recyle broken parts and not simply toss them in the trash or in the dirt. Also by riding a bike daily or atleast numerous times a week will increase your health, stamina, and life length. Exercise = Good and biking can be as easy or as hard as you like. As for The Daniel and I, we will be hitting the trails once school is out and be powering throught those callories :) Happy Riding!

Luckily I take the train to school and I have a little grocery store near me so I simply walk there when I need something. But the gas prices are going up like crazy and I don't think it will be getting lower any time soon unfortunately. Good thing you got a bike.
ReplyDeleteI haven't ridden a bike in such a long time. Can't even remember the last time I rode one actually...
BIKING IS HARD!!!!! hahahaha you don't realize when you are a kid that you have this amazing ability to use your leg muscles...as you grow up if you quit biking then you loose that strength cause you don't use those same muscles for running, walking etc...soooo hard!!!! hahaha but fun! I am increasing my endurance. :)
